Tip of the week

I actually love pumpkin, sunflower and sesame seeds, but until I became allergic to nuts I had never tried them.

Contain omega 3.
High in many minerals, especially zinc.
Excellent for the immune system, reproductive system, wound healing, skin health and brain function.
Contains good levels of vitamin B and E.

Contain omega 6.
Antioxidant properties.
Good levels of vitamin E..
Contain Selenium which controls cell damage.

Contain omega 6.
High in B vitamins, for healthy nerves.
Good levels of calcium.
Contains sesamin to help reduce the amount of serum and liver cholesterol.

If you are not fond of seeds a good way to use them is to grind them, and you can add them to soups, curries, pasta etc, you won´t even notice they are there but you will get all the benefits.
When I bake I add them to the flour, when making cakes or biscuits.
They are also good as a snack toasted, not unlike nuts.
